"To begin any writing task well, we have to think about what it's asking
for and anticipate its demands and opportunities." Deborah Core (The
Seminary Student Writes, p. 10)
The Lutheran Theological
Seminary at Gettysburg provides a Writing Center (Library Office 308)
for students to obtain help with the process of academic writing. It is
open and available to all students for feedback at any stage of the
writing process from brainstorming to the final draft. There are also
resources available for help in correctly documenting research papers.
The Writing Center office hours for the 2007-2008
academic year will be posted on the door of 308 as well as in the
Redactor for the first week of the academic year. Resources and helpful
links will also be available to you under the Writing Center section of
the LTSG website.
The Writing Center tutor for
the 2007-2008
academic year is Dr.
Karin Bohleke.
She holds a Ph.D. in French literature from
Yale University. A published author and frequent lecturer, she
is quite familiar with
scholarly writing
expectations. Karin
can be reached for help or setting up appointments at:
kbohleke@ltsg.edu.
